To All People who practice at Coen’s Pond:

On the next page please find an application for a training permit for the 2008 season. Please fill this out as soon as possible and return it with your annual donation to the address listed below. The first practice for the year is on May 10^th. This is also a "Open" practice for anyone who wishes to try the sport. Their will be no cost for this one day practice if you are a first time racer. Please pass this around to all who want to try this sport.

If you received this invitation and were not at last falls wood cutting you will need to call and talk to Dale or Eric right away before you send in your application. Without clearance from Dale or Eric your application will not be accepted and you will not be allowed to practice at the pond. Please note all the practice dates, these are the Only dates you will be able to practice and these will possibly change if new races go on the schedule that will be attended by most people. Normal practice time is 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. with the exception of July 5^th where the time is 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. only. With all the scrutiny from the Burnett County Sheriffs Department we are again forced to follow rules or we will loose the right to practice on this pond, we will enforce all rules given to us by the Sheriffs Department. Anyone who is caught using drugs, drinking alcohol underage, or drinking alcohol as a driver while they practice will be barred from the pond for balance of the season, and will forfeit the $50.00 fee for using the pond. This includes anyone that you bring with you to the pond as a spectator or mechanic. If they are with you, you are responsible. Any driver or his crew causing any problems at the pond with anyone for any reason may be asked to leave and may have their permit revoked without any refund of the donation paid to use the pond. This sport is supposed to be fun, lets keep it that way.

We are limited by the Sheriffs Department as to the total number of drivers we can have at the pond. Please note that if you received this letter you have an open invitation to practice at Coen’s pond. This invitation is not transferable unless cleared through Dale & Jean Coen or Eric Peterson You can call Dale at 715-327-4617 & Eric at 715-781-4840.

If you will be bringing your kids with you to the pond you will also need to sign a waiver listing each of your children. Please ask for this when you go to the pond the first time. No children are allowed to run around unattended. If your children are left unattended you may be asked to leave them at home or your permit may be revoked.

The $50.00 fee goes to help defray the costs for repairs & fuel on the retriever, plus any expense’s that arise to help keep the pond open.

We would appreciate it if Each Driver would send the $50.00 donation with your permit as soon as possible so we can get a total number of drivers. Please make the checks out to KMA Racing and mail to the address listed below.
